Cattle Feed Ingredients | Poultry Feed | Molasses Bran

Molasses Meal is deficient in nitrogen and nitrogen supplementation is often required to optimize rumen fermentation and to provide by-pass protein to balance the nutrients available for the animal metabolism.

Feeding molasses meal during the dry period may improve early lactation milk production.
Molasses meal are rich in potassium and 20% molasses meal is recommended for animals fed energy-rich diets, but it is possible to include up to 35% molasses meal according to the temperature in that location.

Milk production during that period tended to be higher for molasses meal-fed cows.

Molasses meal Improves in energy intake for dairy cows during the periparturient period have repeatedly resulted in improved performance for milk yield and reduced
metabolic disorders in early lactation. These results are likely due to the increase
in energy intake thus reducing the duration of negative energy balance
immediately postpartum for the dairy cow.The increase in rumen organic matter
fill promotes rumen mat formation while maintaining the position of the
abomasum reducing incidence of displaced abomasum. Molasses meal addition in
diets for lactating dairy cattle improved intake by 10%, milk yield by 4%, and milk protein yield by 8% in a recent study.  http://www.molasses.co.in/contact-poultry-feed
